1) More Performance and bad response from site handling improvements
To install/use the feed reader:
1) The template will need signing before you create a database from it. The signer will need to be able to run restricted agents on the server that it runs on.
2) By default the reader agent runs every hour - to change this you will have to change the agent schedule within the database - this will be automatic by gold release.
3) If you have replicas of the database you can restrict which server the agent runs on within the configuration document - section "Configuration" - "Configuration Document" - server field.
4) To Add a channel click the "Add Channel" button from the channel views - you just need to add the url for the feed into the URL field - the rest of the data will be filled in when the feed is first requested.
5) To manually update the feeds - click the "Check Feeds Manually" button from the Latest Items or configuration view.
6) You can also read the items retrieved via a web browser - just enter the url of your database and the list will appear.
7) The database works on both a server and as a Local database (for use Locally you must ensure that "Enable Local Scheduled Agents" is enabled in your "User Preferences - Basics Tab" - although the manual check works without this.)
