Beta 4 Released
This just has some code improvements to make sure garbage collection works in Domino properly when connections fail - this version has sat very happy doing a lot of work on my server this week without issue.

I just installed the reader and so far so good. Previously, I have been using the Madicon reader.
One feature that has that I like is the ability for the user to control what happens when they double click on the document in the view. The user can choose whether to oprn the feed in the browser just by double clicking on the doc, rather than opening the doc, then opening the URL for it. This seems to work well, and requires less clicks!

I like it a lot Steve.
Will the gold release have the auto open web page feature in it????

Hi Steve.
I have been banging away at the reader for the last few weeks. I got around to adding the feature to open the article automatically from the view if the user wants, using a user profile doc. to store the users pref - works very nicely!
Also added a date/time column of when the doc was added to the reader - I find this useful to see whats new and when - I live in the Items\By Channel view.
I am seeing some problems with the java agent on the server though, they seem to be related to memory issues. The agent will run ok, then suddenly start throwing out errors..
Below, you can also see that notestips.com is not responding at the moment, not sure if that triggers the problem. Thought you'd like (!!) to know!
Server is running 6.5.2 if that makes a difference. To workaround I just stop and start http, and it works again for a while.
Simon

I think I have got the agent problem fixed. It was related to some corruption. Deleting the agent and pasting another copy seemed to fix it!

Hi,
In the RSS Story form the description field only shows html-code, not rendered. I used instead the computed text to show the contents of the description field and marking it pass-thru html. Now it shows the contents of the description field rendered with links, bold and for example ä correctly. Maybe it could be a feature others would like also.
Cheers,
Juuso

great news! thanks for sharing. Sounds like a fun endeavor. I have yet to make a project on Beta, so I look forward to hearing how it goes - especially since this is an update of a previous version. I would be very interested to find out what kind of pain / ease you encounter while you implemented this.
