ProjectDX Blog Toolkit - Personal Edition - Resource Page

The ProjectDX Blogger Toolkit is the first full software release from this project. I would class it as 'Donation Ware' - ie if you find a use for it and you want to show your appreciatation then you can make a donation via this site - just click here:

This page is a temporary resource page until I find the time to make a better job of organising this site. There will shortly be a full resource site based at www.DominoBlog.com - however this is a few weeks away.

The current version 2.0.4 is the very first release version - and it has had some features removed in order to make 'my deadline' - these will be added very shortly. So what we have now is a barebones 'template' to get us started that you can only use a Lotus Notes Client to administrate.

Web administration, email/SMS/WAP submission, FTP to non Domino web services etc will be following very shortly.

I would say that I think its still a bit 'rough' - I have concentrated on functionality rather than 'looks' as I'm not the best UI designer in the world. The templates with the first version are also very rough - but thats where the community comes in - it is easy to design your own templates using your HTML editor and share them with others on this site.

I have also taken a different approach from the other blog templates available for Domino (FreeDomBlog and DomBlog) - this approach will make sense as time goes on (I hope). I am sure the use of 'DX Tags' !! will prove to be a very flexible way of developing Domino Web sites and applications.

My 'vision' is to create a Domino Blog community via the dominoblog.com site, and then also to reach out to the non-Domino users out there by using the web front end. If you check out sites like blogger.com and movabletype.org you may get a flavour of what I hope to achieve.
