The process of adding images to the blog toolkit
is very straightforward. The database itself
is a mini content manager at the end of the
day.
A key feature is that when you refer to the
images in your HTML, there is no need to refer
to them as:
<img src="database/view/document/$file/image.jpg">
Instead you just use:
<img src="image.jpg">
The system takes care of the rest. To me this
is a big time saver plus is very helpful if
you want to develop your content
using
a 3rd party HTML editor.
Adding your images
In order to add images, you need to go to
the images view which can be accessed from
the 'Content Management' group of options
on the left hand navigator.

When you have gone into that view, you will
see any images that are already contained within
your blog database. By default the ProjectDX
logo will be there. To add an image click on
the 'Upload Image Files' button.

You will then see the standard windows file
selection dialog. Click on the images you wish
to upload to your database (using the ctrl
key if you wish to upload multiple files).
Then click the 'Open' button to confirm.

A confirmation box will then appear:

You may then need to click 'F9' to refresh
your view. The images you just uploaded will
then appear in your view.

By default when you
upload images the description of your
image
is the
file
name.
To change
this, click into an 'image storage document'.
There is a description field - put your image
description here and click 'Save Close'.

There is also an advanced option of once you
have uploaded an image, you can refresh it
from the file system if you have changed it.
I will be adding advanced options at some stage
to do this automatically, but to do it manually
you can use the 'Refresh Image' from the 'Actions'
menu.

Note: whilst writing this documentation I
notice this feature is not working!! - Will
be fixed for the next release.
